RECENTLY BOUGHT A REMINGTON XR100. GREAT SHOOTER RIGHT OUTA THE BOX!! BUT THE TRIGGER SUCKS. WOULD THE RIFLE BASIX TRIGGER BE WORTH WHILE? I WOULD LIKE A 1# OR LESS PULL FOR BENCHREST AND VARMINT SHOOTING.

merlinn,

If you need a trigger for the center grip model:

NEW! Dewey Target Trigger NEW!

Center-grip, fully adjustable, 3-6 ounces & up.
Stainless, three lever

Fits XP-100, H-S Precision, Wichita:
$150.00

Or:

Contact Dell Taylor 1 801 566 2939, He builds exactly what you want in a XP trigger. Dell is a long time pistol silhouette shooter and jewler by trade.

Dell's triggers are adjustable below 6 oz. You will love it.

But if you are using the XP-100 in the rear grip configuration, you can use any trigger for a Remington 700 series.

Best.

I believe you are refering to the new REM SS varmint rifle. If so, any trigger suitable for the 700 rifles will work. I prefer the Shilen Comp. trigger which can be adjusted in the 4-6oz. range very easily. Also fairly priced and great service from Shilen if it is needed. There are MANY after market triggers that will work for what you want. Just a matter of paying your dollar and taking your choice.

merlinn,

Sorry about that! It was late and maybe I need new glasses...

Any triggers made for the 700 series will work. The Shilen's are good but the Jewell's are the best and consequently, the most expensive.

Another alternative is the Jard Trigger System Upgrade for the Rem. 700. Look at the Jrad site or it is available from Brownells, cat. #100-000-661.

Best.
