Hello,

I reside in Missouri and I am going to be visiting Florida in the near future and while I am there I plan on visiting a few Gun Shops.

What are the Florida laws regarding purchasing handguns if you don't reside in Florida?

You are prohibited by federal law from buying a handgun in another state. You can purchase any long gun that is not prohibited in your state.

In order to purchase a handgun out of state you will have to make arrangements with a local dealer back home to receive the handgun and do the paperwork for you. Its best to make these arrangements before leaving home. You can pay the selling dealer for the gun plus his fee and the shipping charges and pick it up at your dealers after doing the 4473 and instant check on your return home.

Hello "cajunman"

1. Why would anyone from Bayou Country, reside in Missouri?

2. Get a Florida "CCW". Yes!---you can get one ---- even if you are from Canada you can get one. When you put it down on the table --- your worries are over! No questions ---- fill out the 4473 --- have them make the call to the FDLE and if you still check "clean", pay the dealer in any form they want --- plastic, cash, or trade-ins --- you get to walk out with the hand gun.

Best Regards:)
