Get hold of the Blue Book, there is a big write up on the various Nikko firearms. Many U.S. importers/distributors/manufacturers sold them while Nikko was still in business, circa 1950's - 1980's.

Not really about date of MFG. of a firearm.
I own a Nikko Woodlands Mark XII 12ga Semi-Auto. Just this past weekend, I broke the shell extractor claw. I need a replacement. This shotgun was mfg'd in Japan. Same factory also made the Weatherby model 82, some Chas. Daly and the High Standard Shadow shotguns. IF ANYONE has a source for parts, or compatible parts, I would be grateful, indeed. Thanks

Here is a list of shotgun parts dealers off the net.

Probably your best bet. In getting parts, for a obsolete long out of production shotgun.

I suppose I could get the material to make one, but getting the correct steel temper would probably be a problem. I will search around. I think it was a copy of the Weatherby 82 and will try Wisener's. At least I own TWO of these shotguns, one is still operational with a complete extractor. The one that broke, happened in the field. The claw is so small, it will likely never be found unless I drag the field with a magnet, and that's not a likely scenario. The claw that broke is about the size of a match head, the rest is still in the bolt. I'll leave this post up, hopefully someone with first hand, direct knowledge of parts can be of help. Thx.
