Hello Spookster,

Could you please give us the serial number (you can x out the last two digits if you like) and all markings found on the barrel and receiver? Pictures would be helpful also.

Jim... If the U.S. Repeating Arms Co. (U.S.R.A.Co.) does not have the information you seek, it does not exist. As I mentioned in my earlier email to you, what you have is not a "Winchester" Model 70... it is a U.S. Repeating Arms Co. manufactured Model 70 rifle (sometime in the 1990s). U.S.R.A.Co. as of this time has not published any serial number, or production quantity numbers for any of the firearms they manufactured using the trademark "Winchester" name. My advice to you is to list it with a starting price slightly more than what you paid for it, and then let the market determine what it is really worth. When it was made is totally useless information in this case, and how many were made is almost as useless... it is simply what it is, and nothing more.

Spookster,
Did you ever find out what this gun is worth, Model 70 6mm Remington??
My brother just got one from my uncle's collection. They are really good looking rifles and nice to shoot.

John
