I have a High Standard High Sierra. It's 9 shots with an 6 1/2" octagon bbl adjustable sights with an extra cylindar in .22WMR. It has a gold tone grip frame and wood grips in a presentation case from High Standard. It is in very good shape at least 99% finish. I can't seem to find anything on this. Does it have any value?

Welcome to the forum. The last year's Blue Book gives the gun a value of $355 in 98% condition. (pistol $270 + $40 for presentation case + $45 for combination model) If it has adjustable sights add another $25. This is supposed to be retail but prices vary from region to region in the US.

high standard revolvers are sleepers that are experiencing a comeback. if you have a gun that if in nice condition , will bring in what our fellow poster posted.

Plus some most probably if it is in 99%.

Hello kwclark,

The High Sierra had a 7" barrel (measured from the face of the cylinder to the other end of the barrel).

If the barrel is the original length, you have quite a find. The cased versions of this revolver were cataloged during the first two years of teh twelve years this pistol was in production and because of a "name the gun" contest, the early ones were not marked "HIGH SIERRA". I would estimate the value at just over $400. This years Blue Book added $5. to the base price given by Herschel.
