Serial # 65622. This is a 5 shot.
Do you have any info about this?

Thanks for the info. This was handed down to me, and I didn't have any info on it other than it was a 38.

the main serial number location on the U.S. Revolver Co. Automatic is on the left side of the grip frame, you must remover the grips to see. the serial number found on the bottom of the trigger guard is a secondary location and does not have any letter code prefixes that may accompany the main serial number. with the number (and letter code found there (if any) i can give you a date of manufacture.

Hello Bill,

I have a U.S. revolver top-break .22 you might wish to add to your database. The only markings are on top of the 3-inch barrel, "-U.S. Revolver Co.-", and on second line, underneath: "-Made in U.S.A.-". No marking as to caliber. Serial stamped on bottom of trigger guard "7391" and on left of grip frame "E7391."

Kip Lindberg

Sorry to inform you that Iver Johnson collector and author Bill Goforth passed away in January during an operation.

Your small frame U. S. revolver was made in 1923, the last year they were produced.
