I've been watching for a good suitcase TIG welder myself. Nobody seems to be selling any used ones and they start around $1400 new.

Can I ask what you are going to weld with it? Aluminum sheetmetal? Thickness? Pipe?

The Miller PC300 Tig pulser is an add on unit to a tig welder, for the purpose of making the welder pulse -- so you can weld thinner metal more easily.

I have a Miller 180SD which is a combination Tig/Stick welder, and will weld steel or aluminum on the tig side.

I just want to make my welder easier to use. The PC300 has been discontinued, and the later model Miller Tig's have the pulser already built in. I was hoping someone might have one, and not be using it as they have the pulser on their new welder.

It's an oldey but a good one.
You will like it. Mine on my Miller 351 is a (add on board). You Can adjust it down low enough to weld razor blades edge on with a .020 Tungsten.

On the high end, if you have a pre heat issue you can adjust for that
Heat up, drop, dip, repeat.

If you get it e-mail me if you need some settings on paticulars.
(if you do know, I am a Tig welder/general buy trade of 27 years)

I have the Spot Pulse for the Millermatic 200. But that is MIG.

TIG welder is Lincoln.

You'd almost be better off buying one machine that has all the features you want instead of adding components one at a time.

Depends on how far you go $$$, my last Sync Tig machine was 11K. However, mine is in use every day of the week for work.

My welder takes a 14 pin plug, and the PC300 will work with it.

Got the Miller 180SD for Christmas, it's a 2005 model that had less than 2 hours use. It was still mounted on the 4 X 4 shipping lumber when I got it.

The first owner bought it and couldn't learn to tig, gave up and it sat for nearly 3 years, then hard times forced him to sell. I am amazed at how good an arc welder it is. Made my old Century buzz box seem like it came over on the Mayflower! I am still learning to tig weld, and have a lot to learn; but I'm determined to learn how, and the PC300 pulser was recommended by a friend that's a certified welder.

I weld a lot of thin metal working on old cars, and want to be able to do it without burning through. I also have a Miller 210 mig welder, and a Century 140 amp mig welder with .024 wire that I currently use for thin stuff, but my friend says the tig will weld razor blades or aluminum cans together!

The Miller 210 is the best mig I've ever had, I'm sold on Miller stuff. Since I just got the new to me tig welder, upgrading to a newer model isn't an option. Besides, most of the newer models are tig only and I need the arc welder at times.

That's not a realistic price for the PC-300 pulser unit.

A company is now making a copy of the pulser for $500.00 new in the box with a 1 year warranty. I've found several originals ranging in price from $300.00 to $400.00 -- I'm holding out for a better price than that.

Several have sold on Ebay for $125.00 to $200.00.

Hobart made a TW Pulser that has a 14 pin plug and will work on a Miller tig -- I saw one sell for $50.00 !

I got to hit the weld supply fri, I will check and see if they have any in the back room they can part with. They have let me rape there older machines for parts before.

I got to find a new/used "Crater fill" control board for my machine. I will let ya know what they have if any.
