I have a rear sight that is supposed to be for a M1 carbine. It has the windage knob in the middle and where it would be installed on the reciever is the same as the reciver. I would include apictures but can't figure out how to incert them. I can email them to anyone that can help. Thanks
the windage knob is on centered on the right side and the base requires a male dovetail to install it

Here is a site that will let you down load the Army manual for the M1 carbine repair and maintenance manual with pictures of the rear sight and receiver dove tail.

I don't think you have an M1 Carbine sight. All windage adjustment knobs have been on the right, not middle, and the 'same as the receiver' part is confusing. It's supposed to be the same, or it wouldn't fit into the receiver.

So, get back to us with the photos! Thanks, Joe
EDIT-Info Added
I noticed it hasn't been mentioned earlier..there are instructions for posting photos on the top of this forum. Good Luck! Joe

What is your question

If Obama is the answer, it is a very stupid question!

Maybe you have an 03-A3 rear sight. Show us some pictures.
