I am going up to a campground on Saturday to help prep it for the church group that will be going in a few weeks. They've told all that are coming to bring their own lunch.

Instead of a sandwich, I figured I would just take my little portable barbeque and a tri-tip to cook up and share.

So what goes well with tri-tip that can be cooked either on a portable barbeque or in a propane powered deep fryer?

The third option is something that doesn't have to be cooked as well.

I'm also going to throw my rootbeer keg in a bucket of ice water to get it really cold on the way up there.

I always fire two warning shots; one to the chest, one to the head.

Beans are always good on the grill. Many recipes available and they tend to feed lots of people.

I've never done beans on the grill. Do you just stick them in a pot and put it on the grill with everything else to heat up?

chili goes good with it--you can always prepare it ahead of time so that all you have to do is put it in a pot and reheat it. I also like sliced zuchini or yellow squash on the grill-just slice it and sprinkle a little seasoning-coat it with some olive oil & grill.

Grilled veggies, or take a cast iron pan and use it to sautee them.

I like it with Black beans and roasted sweet potatoes. Maybe a little campfire cornbread on the side!

Correct. Some of the bigger families prefer BMWs though.

Man makes me want some. Local store has Grill veggies not sure what they put on them but are they ever good. Even squash is in it depending on time of year.
