My father left me a Browning .270 when he passed away 20 years ago. I have never really been interested in guns and have no idea what this thing is worth, if anything. Any information on this particular rifle would be appreciated, thank you.

Looks like a Redfield scope w/ see thru mounts all in very good condition. Sell it here,,,,,,,,on G.B. 500-600 ballpark

Agree w/ Nambu. Your rifle is known as a BAR- for Browning Automatic Rifle- not to be confused with the military light machinegun from WW I. Very well made, VERY accurate rifles. Belgan Brownings are sought after items.

Brownings do get a premium. Hard to tell from the somewhat grainy pics but for a good gun in a good caliber Browning in .270 you should do well.
