Hi, Does anybody have a link where I can find the specs on the Remington AWR. Not the AWR II, that I can find on Remingtons website.

| Thanks, I was trying to figure out what the finish was and if the barrel and action were stainless. The finish is like a blued not matte, but it's not blued. It's some kind of rust resistant finish. Thanks for the info. |

REMINGTON CUSTOM SHOP Accuracy is a hallmark of every RemingtonŽ firearm, but there is a level of precision attainable only through personal attention. That becomes strikingly clear the first time you print a group with a rifle from our Custom Shop, thanks in part to a small group of highly skilled technicians and gunsmiths with vested interest in every gun produced. They employ the most advanced gunmaking equipment, vice-tight tolerances and stringent quality standards to Engineer Performance. If you strive for the next level of accuracy and performance, Remington Custom Shop. Engineered Performance.
ALASKAN WILDERNESS RIFLE A highly practical big-game rifle, the (AWR I) is custom-designed for the roughest weather and toughest hunting conditions. It combines hard-use durability, permanent stability, greater corrosion resistance, and the Model 700's accuracy. These rifles can take up to 8 months to order, but we have one in stock!
The Model 700 AWR starts with the world's strongest bolt action design. Unlike Mauser-type bolt actions, there's no ejector cut to weaken the bolt. And our extractor assembly cannot override the cartridge and jam. Instead, all Model 700 rifles feature a bolt mechanism that's stronger by design and making it grip the cartridge head tighter as pressure increases. The bolt, barrel, and receiver surround the cartridge with three rings of solid steel for maximum strength.
Each barreled action begins with a 416 stainless steel bolt, barrel, and receiver, which is hand-fitted and epoxy bedded to a lightweight, matte black composite stock with a blind magazine. A non-glare, black matte TeflonŽ coating that won't reflect light covers all exposed metal surfaces. The comb is straight with raised cheekpiece, and the butt carries a magnum-grade 1" black rubber recoil pad. The barrel contour is a special, 26" Custom Shop magnum profile that's high on accuracy and low on weight. Each trigger mechanism is hand assembled and tested. Weighing in at 7 pounds, the Model 700 AWR is perfect for hiking the high country or all-day stalking.
Best.
