I am looking at a great price on this rifle in 308 stainless with a comp barrel. Any opinions of the quality of these? As always thanks for your replies.

I had never heard of a Charter Arms rifle and checked the Blue Book. According to that, the only rifle Charter arms made was a .22. You might want to check with Mark Christian or Capt. Kirk about this one.

Here is a website with it called Charter 2000 Field King.
It links back to the Charter Arms website which does not list any Rifles.

It is also made in the venerable .270 cal. I too believe it is a Charter Arms product. BTW, that is a ER Shaw comp barrel.

Todd,

If my wholesaler isn't out of stock, the Charter Arms Fieldking is still available in .308 and 30-06. The rifles are stainless steel, E.R. Shaw barrel, synthetic stock, adjustable trigger and comes with scope bases.

I traded it for a shotgun, should shot myself in the John Brown for dong it.
