Here's a really good video of the local Steam Engine for any of the old school rail lovers.

Thats nice, here is another video. The rail road here where I live is an actual working rail road with a 102 year old steam engine and a 104 year old steam crane. They give rides all the time.

I'm just a poor bummer trying to make a dime without payin' the government a dollar. I think I figgered it out how, LIE to them, they been doing it to us for years.

Amherst Industries here in WV have a steam operated barge crane that they use on the Kanawha River around Charleston on a daily basis. It's used mainly for dredging and laying riprap with a clamshell bucket. Talked to one of the operators in a refresher class one time and he was in his 30's. Good to see younger people still interested in steam.

My Grandfather loved Steam Locomotives. This is one of his favorites.

and a sense of humor was provided to console him for what he is.

Old steam engines and old aircraft flying overhead. The sound alone is priceless. (and they look great too!) And to think that we built all of this with manual machinery and engineers with slide-rules.

Speechless.
The driver and crew must love their work. I know I would.

They have an old timer train museum just a few miles from my house. They put together a club to maintain them and collect more if they can.

50 3552 is the star.

http://www.myvideo.de/watch/6302542/50_3552_2_im_Kahlgrund

I've worked with many of the guys in the club, mostly blue collar types.

They have a neat thing going on, anybody that shows up way early Sunday morning gets some hands on, they put you to work and then have a Brat and Beer fed.

Be obscure clearly.

I could listen to that ten times and still be happy.

"Most people fancy themselves innocent of those crimes of which they cannot be convicted." Seneca

"Hope has two children: anger, and courage." Augustine, Confessions
