NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Authorities say one man is dead and two others hospitalized after they crashed a van into a North Augusta gun store to steal weapons and were shot by the owner, who lived behind the business.
The Aiken County Coroner's Office says 20-year-old K'Raven Goodwin of Eastover was killed and the two men with him remain in the hospital after the shooting around 4 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies say the owner was checking on an alarm at his store when he confronted and shot the men. Investigators would not say if the men were armed or fired back.
Authorities say the two shooting survivors ran to a nearby Waffle House to call for help, while the third man was found in the store.
No charges have been filed as an investigation continues. |

K'Raven?? Hmmmm, I wonder if he has a criminal history??? I guess K'Raven's brief career in breaking and entering has come to an end! What a tragic loss to the Augusta community. Does anyone know where I can send a donation to the family of poor, misunderstood K'Raven?? |

I just wonder if he is connected to the gunshop break in at Tony's Guns in Sumter, SC up the road from Shaw AFB since he lives near it. Same motive.. drove a van in the front door. I know Tony.. and if it is the bad guy would have been  if Tony would have been around. |

That has to be the hardest phone call to make, to call the police because you and your buddies just got smoked trying to rob a gun store. |

It's getting to the point if someone breaks in you have a right to shoot no questions asked. How much more crime with no punishment can we stand and we should use tax money for labor farms instead for free welfare and cell phones.

| I just love a story with a good ending! I'd hate to think I was so wimpy that I'd have to call 911 for a robbery that I screwed up and got shot over. At least have the Cojones to take a doctor hostage and force him mend you instead of boo hooing to the cops. |
