Inexplicably angry with law-abiding gun owners after the Newtown, Connecticut, school shooting, a New York newspaper decides to print the names and addresses of gun permit holders in two counties. We'd like to return the favor:

At best, this is poor journalism.
I'm surprised that so many people signed off on this 'story'.
It wouldn't take long to publish the property taxes paid by each of these people. It's public record. So are many divorce documents. But it serves no journalistic value.

Hate to tell you that nothing will change when they use the First Amendment, and public records for excuses.
I think that people like us should go ALL out to put these folks in the same possible 'danger' as they do to gun owners.
Track them all down, and list addresses and phone numbers, along with a pic of their house when possible.
While I understand the concern that ex-cops have about this,....which has garnered the majority of the publicity,.....they are no different than I am in terms of their privacy rights.
Actually I meant to say they shouldn't be.
Don't know if Florida has changed the law or not, but previous your info is available to anyone as a CCW holder,......unless you are a cop/first responder. |
