Anyone know where I may be able to find a Winchester 290 barrel wrench. Brownells does not list one.
Thanks!

I got Mine from MIDWAY along with Bushing for a lot of other Barrels.
I have Split Wood Bushing
Brass Split Bushing
Alumiun Split Bushing.

My MIDWAY works on Rifles or Shotguns.
I also find other Holding jobs to use it.Good tool to have.
I put Mine on a Bench-Grinder Stand so that I could Move it to the job. instead of taking the job to it.

Joe,

Thanks! I have the type you are talking about. This one is a special wrench to remove a barrel nut on these and similar models. Any other ideas?

You are talking about the .22lr rifle, right?? Same as the 190 pump.

Here is something I copied from the net a while ago.

""Getting the barrel off is no problem. Make sure the gun is unloaded. Remove magazine follower, and trigger group. Under the front sight there is a pin. Knock it out and don't lose it.Pull and twist the magazine off through the sight. When that's off, pull down on the forearm. It should come off. You also have to remove the rear sight.Knock it off with a brass drift. Looking into the receiver you should see the barrel nut holding the barrel into the receiver. Loosen it by hitting it with a brass drift until it comes off. You can also buy a barrel nut wrench to fit this nut but the drift works just as well. Reverse procedure to assemble.""

Thanks! May just have to make one, might as well make more than one. Would anyone be interested in a 190-290 barrel nut wrench if I offered one on GB?
