I've noticed that some folks are still posting IMG code from Photobucket and getting the image along with a URL code that shifts the picture to the right. For those that haven't already discovered the Photobucket setting to fix it, here is how you can correct that without having to edit every post to remove the URL portion.

Sign into your Photobucket account, then click on View Library, then click on "Update Link Options" on the right side, and then in the list of options uncheck "Link back to albums" and then Save; that will get rid of that extra code in the IMG Code Link.

Here is a picture of the settings page with instructions on how to eliminate the URL code. Please note that my other settings might be different than yours and are my preferences only and should not affect editing for the URL fix. Dang, I forgot to change "you" to "your"!!!!

I don't know what happened, my setting were right, then one day it started putting the link code, I've gone back to pb, and tried numerous times, but its not fixing the problem.

Are you clicking "Save" after you uncheck "Link back to albums"?

I went out to my laptop, and did it four times before it saved,
Thanks, it was irritating for me too.

I always click on the "Direct" option. It momentarily turns yellow and displays "copied".

When I paste it here I see something like this:

Highlite that and click on the IMG button and here we are:

I appreciate it.

If you dislike photobucket like I do, try using imgur.com instead. If you want to post an image to pretty much anywhere on the web, you can do it with imgur without having to make an account. I wouldn't use it if you really need to have that image stick around for long time as I don't know how long they keep uploads that aren't associated with an account.

I put it all together myself. The actual case is from an insulin injection kit that I found (I am not diabetic) and I then added the rest of the items. The spent brass case is a 7mm Rem Mag which is a rough gauge for M1 gas cylinder wear: If the 7mm Mag case slides straight through the gas cylinder and lands on my foot then that cylinder is total junk! (A GB forum member sent me that 7mm brass case and I thank him again). Not shown, but always in the kit, is a small magnifying glass to get a better look at markings. The large tool in the center is a gas cylinder lock screw wrench which was custom made by a young machinist who hangs out in the CMP Forums and it can be used on the common cross-style screws or the old single slot type. The barrel gauges are absolutley vital to properly judge an M1 barrrel and if someone at a gun show won't let me gauge the barrel then I move along without even considering the rifle. The little cotton bore swabs come in handy to check for rust in the chnamber or just for general cleanup and I ususaly have a few more in the kit instead of the two shown. The flashlight has many uses and the bore sight attachment gives a good look at the interior of the barrel. All in all this little kit has proven to be very useful and while it won't take the place of a total tear down on my work bench, it does give a good indication of the wear level of any M1 that I am looking at.

You're welcome!

I only have 1 album, so without creating another one, here is how I think you do it. When you are in the album you want to move pictures from, turn on "Organize" at the top of the page. A panel will then appear at the bottom of the page with Delete, Move, Tag, Create a Story, and Link as the possible actions; they are inactive initially. You can then hold down the CTRL key and with your mouse start selecting pictures, each selected picture will then have a blue outline around it; the possible actions will then be active. Once you have the pictures selected, the Move action says it will allow you to move selected pictures to another album. I suspect that when you click "Move", it will give you options on where you can move them.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if it works the way I think it does.

Just goes to prove there's no dumb question, huh?

I post a link to this thread probably three times a week. It's a great how to. I just wish more people would spend the two minutes it takes to improve the forum experience for everyone.

I love the cop outs you get. "I'm computer illiterate" etc. you're never gonna learn if you don't try...
