Other than the BDL having the mag release on the bottom, what is the difference betwwen BDL/ADL rifles? Thinking of getting a 700 ADL Youth model in 308 thats on sale at wallyworld for $340...

Probably, one model has better funiture, higher quality of manufacture, you know, like General motors, Chevy vs Cadillac

I think the bdl have a shinier stock than the adl, I've heard that the adl's are more accurate.

Make sure the one a WallyWorld is a 700 and not a 710. That sounds like the price they were asking for the 710 a bit ago. I've heard from a couple of sources that the 710's are not something you really want. IMHO

The BDL's are, as Classic says, fancier. White line spacers, ebony foreend tip, High gloss finish, skip line checkering. The details have varied some over time. Nothing wrong with accuracy either. Same action and barrel.

Other than what He Dog and Classic stated,..the adl also has a "blind" magazine while the BDL has a drop floorplate or an optional detachable magazine for a little more money.
duhhhh looks like you already said that,.... I shouldn't have taken that last shot at breakfast this morning

Its already been said, but I'll try to clear up the money difference.
The BDL has much better finish and fit on the wood. Its a real pretty gun. There are also some other differences that were noted above.
I got a pic of mine if'n you want to see it. |

Well, I went and did it again. Put $280 down on the 700 last night. Still owe $85. They only had one left besides the display model and I got it. Nice little rifle, now I need a scope for it. Ive been looking on fleebay and it seems like the leupolds are staying pretty close to retail, especially on the matte black ones but the burris scopes seem to be a bit less. Are the full fields any good or are they just in the same quality range as a VXI Leupold? If I want a VXII quality scope, whats the best deal or comparable model? I want a 3x9x40 to go on it but am considering either Leupold, Burris or Nikon.
