Now my repair part is at my local Post Office, arrived yesterday, BUT no mail today! Martyr's birthday.

I posted this on Ford's FB page:
RE: Unavailable parts- My 2012 F-150 is need of a part that is out of stock all across the country. The part number is DR3Z-8566-A, it is a T- connector for the upper radiator hose. I called customer service and they created a case number, which I assume will be promptly ignored. My mechanic (who already has another F-150 waiting for this part) and I have called or emailed numerous parts suppliers, without locating even one of these items. At this time, my pickup is not serviceable, and to say the least, I am not happy.
If anyone has an idea I can use, let me know!

https://www.parts.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=store.PartInfo&PartNumber=DR3Z8566A&VehicleID=391811&diagram=MA09064&Title%3D-5.0-LITER-CONNECTOR

A quick search for the part number returned quite a few just like this one. It may be that someone is searching by vehicle rather than part. It appears that part number is used in several models.

A long time ago, I ran into a similar problem with a Mercury Marquis. A section of heater hose broke, and it was molded, "pre-bent" at the factory, and there was no way to bend one and make it fit without it kinking.

The Ford dealer sent the wrong hose twice, and I told them to forget it. I made the part I needed from three sections of heater hose, two copper "L" joints, and some hose clamps. It worked.

BTDT-they list them, and when I call, they are "on back order".

That's my next mission. If I thought I could cobble one together, I'd give it a shot. Pretty intricate connections, and not in a very accessible spot. BTW-Thanks for the picture, I'll take it with me to the salvage yard.

May be the case. I know the price more than doubled, but if you had the ONLY box of 30-30 in the states, what would you charge?

Sounds like a buying opportunity to me.

Hit the pull a part salvage yards, build your own supply and sell them online.
