I have a Ford Expedition, I am the only one who ever drives it. Bought it used and it came with only one key~5years ago.
Long story short- the expedition is at my office, parked outside the security fence, with a new Glock 17 in a case under the front seat.
My keys are in the center console of a coworkers car- he left early today to go to Vegas for the weekend. I’m leaving this weekend for 2 weeks in New Mexico.
I have to choose my path forward- I really wouldn’t worry about it, but I only park outside of the secure area about 1 in 100 times- today happened to be one of those times-
If the Glock wasn’t in there I would just wait it out, I was gonna leave early and run a few mags through it on the way home. |

Check with a dealership. They may have a replacement key available, based on the VIN. |

Call a locksmith and have em open it with a slim-jim, retrieve your Glock and enjoy your trip.

Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

Well I guess I'll be the one that asks. What the hell were your keys doing in somebody else's car? |

FIRST Thing I do when I get a new vehicle : have extra KEYS made , even if its just 'door keys' !!!!
Sounds like a serious case of 'dumbass' to me !!!!!
Thanks !!! |

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!" |

Too bad you're not already here (in nM); Expeditions are the 4th most stolen vehicle in the state, and finding a "midnight locksmith" wouldn't take very long at all.
I s'pose there's no rocks in that parking lot.... |

Alway have a spare key "stashed" where you can get to it from the outside of the vehicle. Magnetic key holders might be a good option. |

Give your touchpad code to someone who can swing by where your truck is parked and have them retrieve the Glock for you. |

had a slim jim once. that thing worked like nobody's business. all it was, was a 3' long 3/4" wide sheet metal with a notch cut in it. easy to make a field expedient.

newer cars have a metal ledge in the door to stop a slim-jim, but don't always work. |
