bats are good but a hardwood 2x is less likely to get the attention you don't want.

I like a nice 21oz framing Hammer.

You can pack it in your bag and check it through in any Airport. They go right on through customs.

In a foreign country no one looks twice at one on your back pack.

I have "Carpenter" listed as my profession on my passport so why shouldn't I have a hammer.

I like the "Husky" brand they sell at Home Depot for $12. I have one in both trucks and I have a spare for when I travel.

Plus they are a nice hammer too.......

A hammer is a tool and is absolutely NOT ALLOWED in carry on. Checked yes.

International, don't even think of trying it because you'll be detained and kiss a lot of money,, Bye/Bye.

Everywhere I know of the gate people call the shots,, either throw the item away or miss your flight.

The cane I use to get around on bad days is made by cold steel and was ordered via the smkw catalog...

Indestructible and a pretty good melee weapon.

I have a sword cane and a cane gun chambered in .32 rimfire in one of the gun cabinets...

Nothing gold can stay. Nature's first green is gold. Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leafs flower. But only so an hour. Than leaf subsides to leaf. So eden sank to grief. So dawn goes down today. Nothing gold can stay. (Robert Frost)
