Raw oysters at the Shrimp Basket for lunch!

These were some of the best I've ever eaten there.
Slightly briney so they may have come from the middle of Mobile Bay to the Gulf. The boxes were Bon Secour Seafood.

Big too, they hung off four sides of a Captains Wafer.

Two dozen and a cup o' Joe for fifteen bucks under 70 degree blue skies.

Life is very good.

Patuxent Phil is wrong. Buds on the sassafras, fig, and Japanese maple, with blooms on the gardenia tell me Spring is coiled and ready to let fly. Not soon enough for me.

Not these, they came off the bottom. Too many mollusks attached to be suspended in the water column.

you all can argue all you want, farm raised, oh natural, and you can have my share also, to me they look like the snot you hack up when you have the flu, and I wouldn't eat it either.....
