| Was looking at a TC, but for the price of a TC frame I can get a handi rifle and 2 barrels. Does anyone know of any custom gunsmiths out there that do barrel work on the handi rifle? Or has anyone had any of their barrels rechambered with any luck? |

Barrels for the handi rifle are available thru the manufacture in a variety of calibers. Bear in mind, You are dealing with basically a 410 shotgun action like the H&R topper. Therefore, firing monster sized calibers in it would not be a great idea. Stretching the action and loosening the lock is entirely possible. I have seen them in rifle caliber up to .270. In my opinion, thats as hot as I would be comfortable with.

| The NEF SB2 rifles are not your fathers H&R Topper. They now come in a variety of calibers--.22LR to 450 Marlin and just about everything in between..They come in wood stocked, laminated, and synthetic..They are capable of taking high intensity cartridges...243, 280,270,308,30-06, 450 Marlin, 7-08, and 45-70. I own and handload for eleven (11) of them..well worth the money--very accurate when worked up for a good handload----Strong?? In the 45-70 some load to level Three. Myself to Level 2. Great single shots... |

Barrel Accessory Program
Additional barrels may be added to firearms of our manufacture since 1987 only, with a serial number that begins with N or H. We do not install additional barrels on any other manufacturer’s firearms.
Additional barrels are available as additional barrels only. We will not exchange barrels for existing barrels on shotguns and rifles, as it will change the model.
Rifle frames may be fitted with additional rifle, shotgun, and muzzleloader barrels.
Shotgun frames may be fitted with additional shotgun and muzzleloader barrels only.
We do not sell additional barrels outright. All barrels must be factory fitted.
We do not sell barrel blanks or do custom calibers.
In order to obtain an additional barrel(s), the stock, forend and frame (receiver) must be sent to us so they may be properly hand-fitted to the barrel, to be sure they are correctly head-spaced and proof-tested.
To obtain an additional barrel(s), please take the following steps:
Open the firearm by pressing the release lever, and be sure the barrel is empty.
Remove the forend screw and forend.
With firearm fully open, lift the barrel off the hinge.
Carefully package the stock, forend and frame (receiver) for shipping. (DO NOT SHIP YOUR EXISTING BARREL.) Send by U.S. Mail or U.P.S. insured to the following address (DO NOT MARK CONTENTS ON THE OUTSIDE OF SHIPPING CARTON):

I know of one gunsmith that can do just about anything to a barrel but make it smaller in caliber. His name is Scott, his e-mail address is erase@ispwest.com..... You can ask him about some of the guns that he has done. He has several pic of them.
