Prayer:

Lord, make me fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.

Grant me victory over my foes,
and those that wish to do harm to me and mine.

Let not my last thought be,
"If I only had my gun."

And, Lord, if today is truly the day that you call me home,
Let me die in a pile of empty brass.

Nice, but I like David's version better (Psalm 144).

'And, Lord, if today is truly the day that you call me home,

I can think of a few things I would prefer to be doing when I die than shooting people.

Probably because I didn't go through all that fancy Policeman training.

Don't beat yourself up, Don, you probably lack a pot gut and a donut habit as well.
