I am tired of using P.V.C. pipe. I saw some nice Aluminum 48" sand Spikes that had an aluminum Rod holding tube and a wedge of aluminum welded about 18" from the bottom so you could take your foot and sink it in the sand. If anyone has found some that are light and truly work well, please tell me where tolook.

Most of the bait and tackle shops have em on the east coast. Local aluminum shops make variants that all are similar and work well...

They cost much more than the PVC crap.

I found what I was looking for at Bass Pro Shop. They certainly do not advertise them well, but they are exactly what I was looking for and are perfect. $34.99

I have an aluminum welder so I could make my own. I use to sell them but couldn't make any money. All we do is surf fish here in NJ
