The title says it all and let's face it the problem is not going to be solved without a fight politically .
More current intensive background checks are coming for gun ownership!

As Being label here already here as a ban anti-gun liberal still does not change the facts of how long before either the system bans gun ownership or our society is coherent enough to have enough sense of responsibility to be morally correct with gun ownership?

Am I the only one here that cannot ignore the Elephant in the room? What happens when an irresistible force meets an unmovable object? the War of Northern Aggression maybe?

Years ago I placed a woman in custody after she locked her self in a bathroom and slit her wrists with a razor blade. After transport to the local hospital for the cuts (minor in nature) we attempted to have her committed. Upon the arrival of a MH worker who examined her for a few minutes and without any input from us he refused to commit. He did furnish his name for our report with his opinion that she was OK and had told him she had gotten the cuts running thru the briars behind her house. He suggested we charge her or talk her into committing herself for 72 hrs. (self committing can walk out in minutes after we leave) We talked her father into pressing Disorderly Conduct so she was placed in jail but he bailed her out the next day and didn't show for the hearing.

The wanton killing of other humans by ANY means, be it in America or anyplace in the world, is NOT a firearm issue.

The individuals that do such are of two classes:

1. Mentally deranged.
2. Just plain evil without morals.

And that include mass shootings in the US, other countries by 'governments', organized crime, drug cartels or years ago by the Nazi and others including the muslime islamic radicals....#1 & #2 apply.

The government has no rights. Only the PEOPLE have rights that empower the government.

This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It is they way it is. The way we cope with it, is what makes the difference.

Well it (The Weapon) gives the entity the power to kill more at one time however. This cannot be denied.
