Just watched it again last night. I consider this movie up there with several of the modern day "classics".

Perhaps a bit over-exaggerated but it puts quite an honest take on many North\South stereotype's with a nice humorous spin!

And I could watch that lil ole Marisa Tomei back in the day, all night long! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104952/?ref_=nv_sr_1

One of my favorite comedic movies. And agree, Marisa was quite lovely to look at back then.

My brother is in that movie.
At the start of the movie, a cop pulls them over, and draws a shotgun on the two Yankee boys.
My brother is that cop.

Was? Whaddya mean, "was"? She's still pretty easy on the eyes!!

A little bit koo-koo maybe, but easy on the eyes. As long as she keeps her mouth shut she'd be okay.

I agree though, that was a pretty funny flick.

My cousin Vinnie had a role on BH90210 and once brought Tori home for the holiday...

True story.

Mike

What other dungeon is so dark as ones own heart, what jailer so inexorable as ones own mind.

Nothing gold can stay. Nature's first green is gold. Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leafs flower. But only so an hour. Than leaf subsides to leaf. So eden sank to grief. So dawn goes down today. Nothing gold can stay. (Robert Frost)

I don't recall seeing it, but will if I get the chance.

It will probably remind me of my own childhood experience where deep rooted southerners lived among Italians, Jews, Mexicans, Irish, you name...we were a mix for sure. No separate neighborhoods for us!!!!!!!!

A couple of favorite quotes:

"What goes around comes around."

“Abe, climb down from Mt. Rushmore, and vacate the penny. Your days in the pantheon are over, thanks to the scholarship and courage of Thomas J. DiLorenzo.” — Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr.

If you know the context this is funny as heck - a few NSFW swear words BTW.

In early 2002 we were in NY in Little Italy ( Il Quartile ) for lunch. I had on a neat long sleve cowboy shirt. Her Mom was there and she wanted to have it. I do not know if that included me as would already be half way there.
