I am wondering if anyone has any information on my Makarov. It has a star on the grips.

It has all matching numbers except the magazine. The gun was made in 1966.

The only writing on the gun is NH1234 which is the serial number of the gun on the slide, frame, safety, and magazine. The only other markings on the gun is a circle with a triangle in it.

I was wondering where it was made? Also any other thing about the gun.

The gun is in about 85% shape. It is not for sale i was just wondering how much it is worth and any other information you know about it.

Dave

It's a prolific mass produced gun

We will need
Pics
Country of origin
More markings
Caliber
Grips
Variant
Etc...

Before we can weigh in properly

I have 3 different models from 3 different countries over a 30 year time period

Mark C may know a significant amount about them as well as rufe snow

But without more info and effort and help from you we are a bit hog tied and unable to provide meaningful help.

There are no more markings on the gun except serial number, and a circle with a star inside it. There is nothing else on the gun except a star on the grips.

It does have the year 1966 on it.

Russian mid to late 60's with no import marks and matching magazine

In excellent condition...

$300-400 on a good day at its best IMHO

Interested in what others think

On GB they were asking more than 3 or 400 however i do not know what they are selling for. I found out that it is Russian made and that was what i was looking for.

Thanks Mike

I sold my Makarov awhile ago. I have ten boxes of Russian Brown Bear ammo. I expect to go to a gun show this weekend & will take it with me. What is the most I should ask & the least I should take? I would love to trade it for 7.62X25 for my Tokarev. What kind of a trade should I expect to make with a dealer?
