Would like to get rid of the ugly super shadow stock. Can get a factory winchester short action walnut stock at a decent price. Does anyone know if it will fit? I believe I should be able to use my magazine follower and box but know that I will have to get a trigger guard and floorplate, anything else? Going to go measure my bolt hole spacing.

You might check the aftermarket stock people and see what they say about furniture in a swap.

Boyds list a model 70 short action with a blind magazine, a one and a two piece floor plate about $200 or so

What is the chambering? If it is a WSSM, you might find those stocks in short supply, but Boyds might have what you are looking for.

Take a look at these auctions on the otherside...

Try Richard's Microfit for WSSM stocks. Wood and laminate plastic or polymer.
