I just bought a VEPR Pioneer in 7.62X39 and am getting a bit of conflicting info on the side rail scope mount base and magazines.
Does the rifle take standard AK 47 magazines and does it use an AK side mount scope base? I'm thinking about the KVAR brand, had good success with their products in the past. The issue I'm running in tois that some folks say "no problem" and others say the AK side mount doesn't work and that some sort of "adapter" is required for using AK mags.
The "standard" AK mags can be made to fit the VEPR, don't know about the side scope rail. You could Goggle the vepr forum to see if that rail might interfere with something internal, or if it would work.
