Join, you may disagree with some of their stands but who else is working for your rights?

The 2nd Amendment Foundation the GOA are a much better choice if you support the Individual Right to possess firearms as stated in the Second Amendment.
One looks to government and legislation to pigeonhole a privilege. The other two look towards getting government out of the picture.
Your choice, of course, but for me the decision was fairly obvious.

its a small price to pay keep what pressure they can going , I know they have also did stupid things and agreed when they should not have.
I would love to see a group that can actually have a effect on the government and laws .
I am talking the members 100% back it . one real good method like no one goes to work until a law is repealed or a official is escorted out of office , have a well prepared list realistic of course like the constitution .. then we would have action . I am talking taxi driver , doctor's LEO ,every one no matter what you profession doctors to power plant operators to gas pumpers shut down the country see how long it takes to get what we want .
even in NY or Cal start by states stop whining and stay at home but it has to be everyone not a hand full of protesters on a Saturday morning .
NO ONE, NO Organization, NO Politician is going to be in lock step with your every belief, or stance, but like I said not joining them is akin to hunters saying it is OK to ban semi-autos.
Join it is a no brainer. Cost a few bucks and you can support GOA too. The larger the membership the more power they have with Congress, simple as that. The Anti NRA crowd might as well send money to the Democrats.

You may find fault with some of their policy'
s and don't think that they defend gun rights as strongly as they should. But, they are a force to be listened to, just because of the 5 million members.
By the way, I've been a life member for over 35 years.
Maybe if you asked questions with the intent of finding the answers, you'd be able to see past the NRA smokescreen.

Refusing to support the NRA because they are too ____ is in the same category as those Conservative Republicans that refuse to support a less Conservative Republican- both results are the same- the US is stuck with Liberal officeholders and laws.
Amen to that, Ray. We get 'Really Bad' because some True Believers are still holding out for 'Perfect'.

Call me simple, but these three groups have been the Big Three on Capital Hill regarding Gun Rights for as long as I can remember, and the burdens placed upon the individual have become 'Really Bad'.

Might as well disband the NRA and run off any gun supporters who are not perfectly in line.
Ending up like Australia, England, California, New Jersey Etc.
Six hundred people or 600,000 people mean nothing, it will take tens of millions to have an effect on law. You know that.
That is the reason the NRA is no longer feared by Politicians like it was, and that is what puts them in a weaker position.

What were you expecting for $25 or $30 bucks? A free gun? Of course they want your money it takes a lot of it to fight the liberal gun grabbers!
The NRA is good if you support legislated access to firearms for yourself, you children and your grandchildren.

I also belong to these other groups and your right in your assessment. The NRA is in the forefront of the news. I don't always agree with them and hate all the constant emails and letters asking for money, but they are no different then GOA or the other groups. Oakie
GOA and JFPO if you desire an organization that will NOT compromise the 2nd Amendment. However, if you want to step in line with the folks that choose "sensible gun laws", support of the BATF, support of Harry Reid, then by all means, join the Negotiated Rights Association. It's easy to join the huddled masses. But, if you choose to do the extensive research on your own, the obvious organizations to join in support of the 2nd Amendment and the Constitution will not include the NRA.

Don't like any of them all that much. Constant scare tactics arriving in my mailbox and email trying to get me to send them more money. Buy more Chinese crap with their logo on it. Hell of a lot of bullpuckey and lies come attached to all that advertising and begging. One hell of a lot of what they scream about are bald faced lies.
Problem is with all that noise they are doing some good against the anti-gunners. They score some wins on the pro-gun side. So all they get from me is annual membership and the rest of their noise making goes in the trash.
