So I really have to roll with the Tigers on this one.
Look at it this way... the Clemclowns the "CHAMPIONS" of the ACC could barely manage a win over the Gamecocks who had a horrible season.
They also barely managed a win over North Carolina who was second in the ACC but lost to a horrible Gamecocks team.
Alabama destroyed Michigan and will embarrass Clemclowns.
SEC football is like Professional football versus Middle School!!!!

The Spartans should not have been in that game to begin with. Their wins over OSU, and U of M were gifts.
I work with a ton of State fans, and listened to the "just win baby" hoopla for months. Sliding into the Cotton Bowl by the seat of their pants, made for a pathetic beat down by a superior ball team.

The Tide beat up on the Big-10 in general last night and in particular on the Buckeyes who skated into the playoffs due to committee bias and embarrassed Alabama last year. Michigan State had the misfortune to pay for the CFP's biased arrogance.

What we need is to pair teams of equal/closer standings to teams from other major conferences which would result in much stiffer competition, on the whole, for all concerned. This could "very easily" be accomplished through late poll rankings coupled with the extremely excellent computer rankings of Jeff Sagarin. However, a lot of SEC teams will play down to competition, especially since most of the bowls are in the south and close to home, i.e. fan base and money. Unfortunately, this is not going to happen.
