Fox News sickens me

I've been watching the news alot yesterday and today. I notice Fox news keeps pushing and pushing for this bail out. They give citizens no mind at all. Just now they said "Well we heard from the vocal minority yesterday, but most Americans want this bail out to go through."
Folks we are to lowly and stupid to be listened to is the general thrust I've gotten from both politicians and the news stations. Doesn't that piss anyone else off?

I watch Fox news all the time and have not noticed any big push by them one way or the other.
Then you sir are completely high. They are none stop talking about we have to get some bill through or else the entire world will end and not to listen to citizens folks saying HELL NO! For instance they went to a "normal town" and pulled two people and a small shop owner and asked them what they thought (if you notice they were sitting there waiting for their time to speak). All three just happened to say the goverment needs to give some kind of bail out. Yet the calls were 20 to 1 and in some places as high as 100 to 1 NO BAIL OUT.
Honestly I can't beleive you said that.

Me neither. I think they're presented a lot of various opinions pretty well.
This is the same "man" that cried on camera numerous times during Katrina while he watched gangbangers wading through the water, and defecating in the stadium.
He is an a-hole!

Because I saw something different than you, you have to insult me and tell me I am high? Someone can't have a different opinion than you withour being insulted?

Eh if you want to be all sensative and take it as a insult go ahead.
Fair and balanced my butt. They always claim to be, however they are extremely biased and very rarely balanced. Even before this issue.
It pisses me off when I hear citizens blown off so easily.
Perhaps you sir, are the one who is high as you are the only one out of the rest who have answered this thread who thinks they are pushing it..

Give me a example of just once. I've not heard them say anything positive about citizens not picking up the bill for this bail out. I've not heard them once give a arguement about letting the chips fall where they may. Anything they speak of this they start talking about noone getting a paycheck and about America dieing ASAP.
We watch fox and havent noticed it being said either...so I guess that puts us in the quote:Then you sir are completely higharea as well...

Stop or you're going to make me cry............. Sorry if I couldn't give two poops whether anyone agrees with me or not. This is what I've seen.

How is a minority made up of 75% plus of people?
The biggest part that you must remember is they are looking for ratings,.......the more they can tick folks off, the higher their ratings go.
That is the BIG reason for the comments that we both have heard.
I still hate Shepard Smith![xx(]
I guess I am completely high.[:D]

Thank God someone with some sense of humor that doesn't take everything to heart. [:D]

Sure. This is from Alexis Glick, former top trader at Morgan Stanley and currently Business Director at Fox News:
The FDIC should be the centerpiece to a Housing Solution without a Bailout Bill
The FDIC should use a provision of the 1991 law and request that all US deposits be backed by the US government. This will stop runs on the banks both through lines on Main Street, and through on-line banking. This would restart the flow of credit on Main Street as smaller banks are reluctant to lend as depositors go elsewhere.
The FDIC has two lines of credit with the US Treasury. A $30 billion line direct to the US Treasury has never been tapped. A $40 billion line of credit to the Federal Finance Bank, which is used on occasion when the FDIC takes on illiquid assets.
Kodiakk,.........as I posted above, I HAVE heard Smith use exactly that phrase.

Too late now. You only asked for one. [:D]
if things are this bad?
On Fox now. Only thing that's holding us up is the market expecting some bailout package from our goverment. Doesn't socialism smell sweet in the morning to some eh?
Why am I still getting new credit card offers and remorgage requests
if things are this bad?
Because they still have money although they're being more selective as to whom they give it to.
We keep hearing about $700 billion in "bad" paper. Has anyone heard how much "good paper" is on their books? They don't want you to know that. [:(!]

And therein lies the point,.......the "bailout" involves the Government taking only the bad paper.
Of course, according to them, with time most of it will pay off,........right![xx(]
Doesn't anyone see that Paulson is an ex Goldman Sachs exec, and we also have a Fed Reserve member of the same persuasion.
They let Lehman go down the tubes,......no exposure for Goldman, and eliminated a competitor in one swoop.
AIG, on the other hand, could have cost Goldman upwards of 20 billion from what I have read,.........hmmmnn?
AIG was "bailed out"!
Think folks!
Alert: stocks jump up on hopes of new rescure package.

Uh.No. That would be my morning "movement"

Exactly! Approx. 80% of people are paying moragages on time (and that is a "true" majority).
Ditto C/C holders.
Let the house of cards fall, and start anew.

I agree. If 20% of their paper, or $700 billion, is bad, then 80%, or $2.8 TRILLION, is good. The profits from that paper, plus sales proceeds from foreclosures or the discounted sale of their bad paper to the private sector, can be used to offset their losses and they'll still come out ahead without a federal bailout.

Whiteclouder, how dare you criticize the man's bole?
Yer right. [8D]
Shepard Smith,.......the master of doom is one using the "vocal minority" phrase.
This is the same "man" that cried on camera numerous times during Katrina while he watched gangbangers wading through the water, and defecating in the stadium.
He is an a-hole!
You are confused. The Katrina crybaby was Anderson Cooper of CNN.

Actually not,......I don't watch CNN.
Maybe AC cried too, but I watched SS get "watery eyes" several times while he described the abuse of the people of NOLA.

Although Fox News represents a far right entity to the left, it is still a dyed in the wool, politically correct organization.
