Really doesn't apply in this case, I would think.
In this context, the mid-20th century use in Europe is what is intended, not the ancient use in the sub-continent.
That said, I could not help but notice:

The defaced section of the mural was based upon a photo obtained by defacing/destroying public property. Apparently, tearing pages out of libary books is OK.

Two wrongs might not make a right, but there needs to be an equally, hopefully, more powerful, opposing force to this maniacal and racist revolution. We need to seriously ask ourselves, which side of the fence we live on, and just what the hell are we as individuals doing to crush this revolution? Simply stating that two wrongs do not make a right has obviously failed to stop it to this point in time, and no way in hell will such words of wisdom defeat such a movement.

I would also like to add that the bl*ck panthers are as anti jewish or even more so than the nazi's. Listen to farakan sometimes if you can stomach it.
On another note I would bet $50 that it was done by their own people to get attention.
