Just one if there is an insect on your land with terrible acne, or if some guy parks his old chevy clunker that leaks oil.[:D]

    Yep - they are real!

Mom bought me one in 1955 for an inch in Alaska!

They were offered in breakfast cereal promotions.

don't people in Alaska get a certain amount of money annually to be residents there??

Wonder if you qualify for it?

I saw the same show on History Channel last night. Cereal companies offered the one square inch of land deed on the back of the boxes. it was a very successful promotion and hundreds of thousands of square inches of Yukon land was given away.

It's not a deed which can be recorded to make you a resident. It's a quitclaim deen. Back in the 50s cereal boxes also contained quitclaim deeds to 1 acre on the moon.

The only thing is..... even if you were an avid cereal eater and had a thousand of the things, it wouldn't be contiguous land. What do they do if someone ever wants to develop this land? How to track down the deeds?
