    Apples raw, apple sauce, apple pie, apple juice, apples with peanut butter, apple cider...

    I guess bubba gump had mor euses for shrimp than I do for apples.

    Yes I do. There are over 600 nutrients in a single apple and very nutritious. That old saying, "an apple a day, keeps the dr. away", was probably very true. Was coined when a little fruit kept the sailors from scurvy I believe.

    Anyway, I love apples prepared any way they are but my favorite is an ice cold GALA eaten right off the core.

    My Mama used to make pear butter. OMG!
    Had a Bartlett and 2 Sickle pear trees at the farm, where i grew up.I miss the late 60's early 70's![:(]

    My folks had an orchard when I was a kid. Apples, peaches, pears, plums, cherrys. How we took that for granted. But I guess there was a lot we took for granted back then.

    There is a big orchard not far from here, in Marionville, Missouri, where we like to go each fall and load up on apples and cider. Great place.
