Just received my $89 sks from AimSurplus..

The Albanian SKS is in Very Good condition. Almost excellent condition. The wood stock is cracked and not so nice but it came with a replacement stock. I believe that for $79, free shipping, I would have gotten the same gun without the replacement stock. I am planing on putting on a montecarlo stock anyway. I chickened out on the $79 dollar gun as I did want the metal in as good shape as possible. I cannot believe the price, condition and the free shipping.

Next I plan on getting an AK. I bidded on the one Rugerniner got then I saw his post and plan on getting one of those.

That's pretty good price. I should get another one, I don't care about the stock as I like putting synthetics on 'em anyway.

    I didn't post until I knew I won.
If I knew someone on this board was bidding on it, I would not have bid on it. I didn't check the history to see who was bidding, just who had the highest bid. Next time I will check the bid history before bidding. I don't need any gun that bad. I'm sorry this happened. But you can see you weren't the highest bidder at the time that I bid. I will check the bid history next time. Sorry.

Do these $89 Albanians actually come with a replacement stock included in the price? If so that's a hell of a good deal. Even without it that is still awesome!

That guy on GB that is selling the AK's and Cetmes at wholesale did/would not answer my question about how much is he charging for shipping. I'll bet he is charging an arm and a leg to compensate for his "low" prices.

Have you had a chance to shoot it yet? Let us know how it goes. I might have to pick me one up to! The Yugos are only $129.95 and
$109.95, that still sounds pretty good to me. Are there any differences between the Yugos and the Albanians?

Reckon thats why he did'nt answer, eh? Guess he is just gouging a little then. Cost to ship a AK-47 UPS ground is about $15.00. Still a good deal. Thanks for the heads up there 9MM Ruger dude.

    interstatepawnllc;
His starting price is lower then his Reserve Price.
No telling how much he will sell for.
I stopped bidding on the CETME because of that.
I'm not going to raise my bid five dollars at a time to see what his Reserve Price is. [:D] [:D] [8D]

RugerNiner, don't worry, I had stopped bidding as I was unsure about a seller that was not rated. I would never care if another GB'er bid more than me. If I did not want it bad enought to be high bidder, then I should not get it. I was just as glad that you got it.

The bore is full of cosmoline. I will clean it this weekend. The only ware on the gun is a ring on the end of the barrel where the bayonet has been put up and some rubbing on the bottom of the magazine. I expect the bore to be perfect.

I got one of the $79 ones & it is 90-95% blue, nice bore & one little chip in the stock.
    I'm tickled pink.

Several differences. The Yugos are among the most tricked-out SKS's out there, they have a NATO-standard 22mm grenade launcher, with flip-up sight. The gas tube has a switch valve so when firing grenades, all gas goes to propulsion, and none to cycling the action. All this makes it the most heavy SKS made. First production year, 1966.

Albanians are also non-standard, but much less radically. The gas tube cover/forearm is longer, and the charging handle is shaped differently, more like that found on an AK. First production year unknown, likely sometime in the 70's.
