I've never smoked cigarettes... However, I do enjoy the occasional cigar. I only have 2 left from the box of 30 that I brought over with me.

I quit smokeing cigarettes when I returned to the States & got out of the Army. Twenty cents a pack was way more than I was willing to pay. I smoked cigars for a long time after that but when the prices skyrocketed a few years ago I stopped buying them. I never gave them up, I just won't pay that much. If someone gives me a decent cigar I will gladly smoke it. I never have understood why people say they have such a hard time stopping.

I quite every week for 3-4 days. I work 4 on 3 off, and 3 on 4 off. I only smoke at work cause the wife doesn't like it.

4 or 5 years ago. Can't remember when exactaly. I was ready to quit, so I did. No big deal really.

I quit for the last time in February 1985. I finally figured out that I was mentally hooked on cigarettes and not physically hooked. After that it was easy.

In 1984 and it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I was a three pack a day man. My wife's help and Niccoret (Sp?) chewing gum made the difference..

I quit in 1990 for five years, started again for three and gave them up for good in 1998. Got re-hooked because I smoked a cigar in 1995. After I quit for the last time I threw every ash tray and smoking related article in the trash.

Well , I Never did smoke cigarettes , Guess I'm just smarter than that ! and if you read the list of toxic chemicals that are in those things , well , you cant be to smart to want to try one !!! will say that I have been known to enjoy an occasional exspensive cigar ...
