I had to walk away from gospelized Christmas songs and Carols.

It escapes me how performers having no apparent musical talent can make it big in the music world?
What the heck is going on and who are they pandering to?
I think they're trying to secularize Christmas.
One singer with an accomplished guitar player sang it straight as written.
Tony Bennet in his old age sang straight and strong but some notes drifted.
