Iam aware that to travel with a handgun on an airline, that the gun must be in a lockable airline approved container. The hand gun and magazine have to be empty.
Before arrival to the airport I should call the airlines and tell them that I am bring a handgun. The case should be unlocked for their inspection at the front check in counter, with the handgun preferrably with the frame & slide being seperated.

Now the question:
1)Do I need to provide locks or will they place cable wire ties on it.
2) How can I take 10 rds with me & where do I put them.

thanks
walte

I've traveled with mine a couple times..

The magazine has to be in a seperate compartment than the handgun and you have to show that the gun is empty and show your permit and lock the slide back... All has to be in a locked bag.. Plus you can't have it as carry on the plane, has to go in the luggage compartment..

BTW.. You can leave the ammo in the magazine..
