They have issued a major winter weather alert for Georgia!
They say that we here in middle Georgia could have 1/2" of snow on
the ground Sunday morning. I have to run out and get bread and milk.
And then I'll be back to ponder this situation. NOT! [}:)][}:)]
I'm gonna sit right here and watch. [:D]

time to time,,,I have heard of it snowing down there where yoo at.[:D] It might snow here,,, (but mites grow on a chickens *)[:D] I
hope I don't get poofed for that remark. If it does snow and hit the
ground it will melt, the ground is not cold enoughquote:Originally posted by callktulu
Where in Middle GA are you? I'm in Centerville.
3"-5" predicted for north MS
The snow should melt as soon as it hits the ground,
but I gave the deer an extra measure of corn tonight
to keep 'em happy.

Wimps, Half an inch isn't even enough to make a real driver slow down, let alone panic. Try dealing with a foot or more of fresh snow on a regular basis.
had about 5" here last day or so, been down to -10 below...put on about 100 miles on this today[:D]
I went to the local club's annual sled drags today. WOW!! Talk about some hot machines. Classes from stock 400 up to 800 modified.
10 degrees, sunny and very little wind. What a blast!
BTW, Vet, We were standing on over 2 1/2 FEET of hard packed snow!!! 1/2 INCH!![:D][:o)][:D][:o)][:D][:o)]
Greene county
Yeah, we got snow here in Houston County back in 2002. Or was it early 2003? Seems like a lifetime ago.
You're closer to where I grew up (Conyers) than you are to me now. Too bad, I was going to invite you shooting. FORGET IT NOW!! YANKEE!!

I have a very steep, 1/2 mile long driveway. More fun than Six Flags in the snow. Everyone who has ever lived up here, 7 people, has crashed on this driveway while going downhill in the snow, except me, knock on wood.
I have 4WD and studded snow tires so I can handle it. Also have chains in case it really gets icy.
I grew up in Atlanta. One inch of snow, the city shuts down.
They got 14 inches of snow.
Atlanta didn't get any.

ya shoulda known talkin' about snow was gonna bring out the " I seen people here drive a hunnert miles an hour in 18 inches with ice under it, you all just don't know how it's done" SUPER DRIVERS [;)]
at the time and worked in Atlanta. When I called work that morning
I was called a 'liar'[:0]quote:Originally posted by allen griggs
Back in '73 there was a fluke blizzard across central Georgia and Alabama. Auburn Alabama was included, as well as Milledgeville Georgia.
They got 14 inches of snow.

Sad thing is there will be no school so I will have to deal with kids all day![:(]
You must be getting ours, Steve. It hasn't snowed here in the past 48 hours. A record for this winter, I think.[xx(]

What's that bright, shiny yellow thing up in the sky? I dunno, maybe we should throw sticks at it...[:D]
