i just run a three shot string with two rifle just to try out my new chrono kinda interesting

ruger 22-250 26" bbl winchester case 39 gr h380 55gr nos bal tip at 26 deg and at 2250 altitude,with cci200 primer.
hi vel 3584fps
lo vel 3472fps with avg of 3540fps
extreme spread 112fps devation of 59
first shot 3565fps
sec shot 3472fps
last shot 3584fps
now know why i dont have much luck with cci primers....i think?

winchester mod 70 24"bbl win cases 52gr h380 55gr nos bal tip
at 26 deg and at 2250 altitude with win large rile primer
hi vel 3910fps
lo vel 3864 with avg of 3890fps
extreme spread 46fps devation of 23
first shot 3864fps
sec shot 3898fps
last shot 3910fps
both rifles and shells were at ambient temps, they sat in pickup all night looks like aprox 100fps slower than published vel in reloading book but i would imagine that the temp and elevation plays a part in these vel readings..this chrono looks like a very good investment for figuring out reloading stuff. neither of these reloading have been put on paper yet but by looking at the results i would bet the 22-250 one wouldnt shoot the best group.
