gp100 question

looking at a ruger gp100 with a 6" barrel stainless. the cylinder advances counter clockwise just fine when you pull the hammer back. when the hammer is fully forward you can manually spin the cylinder clockwise. has anyone ever experienced any thing like this. if i pick it up i will send into ruger and let them take a look at it.
