i just realized i never get to go shooting anymore. I live in los angeles and it always takes me a minimum of 35 minutes to go shoot at an indoor range. if i want to go shoot trap/skeet it takes 1 hour and 20 minutes....if i want to go shoot my 30-06 it takes me about 2 hours. so basically that means I shoot about once every 6 months.

Not often enough. Living in SoKal is a lot different from small town red state life. I used to go a couple times a month before a year ago when I moved out here, now I've only been to an indoor range twice.

Usually at least once a week, depending on the weather.

Lemme see now, Mondays is fer plinkin'
Tuesdays I have to work till 5:00, then plinkin'
Wednesdays I work till I'm tired, then go shootin'
Thursdays I have to work till at least 4:30 then do some reloading,
Friday, Saturday & Sundays are usually Match days, so I might get time for some plinkin' after that!

Wish I could just find time to shoot each gun in one day!

Haven't been shooting in a couple months. Can't find a place to shoot since my usual range closed for repairs. I am quite depressed at the moment, as you can imagine [;)]

I joined a conservation club loacated between my office and home. Most nights I stop off there and fish and at least once a week I use the range. The place also has a trap range, two lakes, a sled run and an archery range. All for 30.00 dues for the year.

I have to laugh at all you guys sometimes. I don't have to drive anywhere, all part of the beauty of living in northern PA. I can step outside my back door and plink with the .22, or, if I am shooting bigger bore stuff, I will walk a little ways into the woods behind our house.

When I lived in California I was shooting six days a week for probably the better part of the last year I was stationed there. I was shooting trap and skeet mostly but would break out the handguns and rifles on occassion. I was lucky enough to be between 4 ranges within 40 minutes and I was ten minutes away from two of those ranges, and the two close ranges I had full access to complete with keys. I was working nights so I would get up go shoot 100 rounds of trap then head into work most days. Thursdays it would be 100 rounds of skeet, now I live in Florida and life is quite a bit different I used to go shooting every weekend once I got here now it's down to once or twice a month if I'm lucky.

I usually average at least once a day, and often more than that weather permitting.
It's pretty convienient to have a 355 yd range just outside the shop door.

Depends how often I go to the dump. My favorite range is right next to the dump and I usually stop by at least once a week to bust a box of .45 ACP after I dump the trash.

I try to go shooting as often as I can given that my employer provides us with a private range and free ammo. What section of the city do live in. Maybe there is a range closer to you. I also live in the L.A. area.

maybe once every month or two, i've gone less since i found out i cant shoot my shotgun there, no more trap [V] there is supposedly another range about an hour away, but i havent found anything about it. i'm thinking of joining a sportsman's club, some around here have their own small ranges, anyone else in NE PA know of good ranges?

Once or twice a week. The range used to be up the hill from the duplex I lived in now its about 1.5 miles as the crow flies. I have 25 yard pistol/rifle 50,100, and about 235 yds. There's trap and skeet, but I don't engage there. And about a 50 yard bow range. All outdoors for $25 a familiy membership. I'm usually there alone (or with my kids)Whata bahgain!!!

Usually 2 or 3 times a week for me. Rifle 2x a week just to stay sharp offhand and Saturday mornings for trap and skeet. I'm lucky to have several good ranges within a 10 minute drive from where I live. The Adair range here in Yuma is one of the best in the country.

I try to get in some plinking every day that I go for some exercise on my bicycle. Living close enough to the range sure helps. I probably get over there five or six times a week. Keeps me is shape and keeps me on target! I frenquently go over early in the morning, just to read my Bible, think and pray! Cannot beat that combination!

Last Friday three fawns came waltzing out on the 50 yard range at 8:15 and a bit later the doe comes out as well, but she decided maybe that was not the place to play! And all four went sailing off into the woods. I never have gotten over how deer can just glide through the air. The fawns were just getting their wings, but the doe ... could she fly!!![:D]

Now, I'm on a trip up to Canada for a few weeks ... no plinking for a while![:(]
