Just changed the transmission in the wifes car. Let me tell you what. Taking the transmission from a 1993 Cavalier ain't easy. I have cut every finger, hand, and arm I have. Whoever thought of front wheel drive needs a swift kick in the rear.

Rant off.

Chris

Chilton gives 6 billing hours for that, it can be done in 4 easy. What gave you the problems?

Fat fingers, trips to the tool room for special junk, uncoordinated as hell, and generally a bad attitude about the whole ordeal. (At least I tell the truth)

That's why God made transmission shops. He hates it when I curse.

The transmission shop would have cost me $1000 dollars more than it cost me to do it myself so I guess I should quit bitchin'. A $27 part goes bad and these guys out here want $1400 to replace it. No way! I got a trans out of a '95 that was wrecked with 20,000 miles on it. That should last and now that I've calmed down I realize all the skin I lost will grow back.
