Of course English only. Fortunately, this whole flap is likely to blow away when the media get tired of it. BTW, ever hear of the black national anthem? Apparently there is one, but who knows it? I've heard Bill Clinton knows all three verses, but anyone else? (I'm not making this up.)[}:)]

There is a first amendment that says you can sing whatever the heck you like in any language.

But if its not in English, its not the national anthem!

If you'd like to sing the Start Spangled Banner in Croatian, good for you. . .I'll laugh (just don't expect me to join in).

I have heard American butcher it plenty. Rosanne and a bajillion other celebrities and singers come to mind.

If they WANT to sing it to express how they feel about America then let them sing away. It won't be no worse than what real Americans do to the song.

Kristov does have a pretty good idea though.
