You've just found a jeanie in a bottle. You can pick one gun and it's your's. What would you pick?

Here's mine.

I'd be wishing for a HK MP5K PDW with a sear pack registered for 9mm, .223 & .308 so I could use it(the trigger pack) in my other HK's as well ~ probably wouldn't really use it much after the initial tingly feeling wore off [:D] I don't have any class III weapons, or the desire to pay the big $$$ for one, but would still like to have one someday.

I would like one of the Volquartsen custom rifles chambered in .22 LR. They are so beautiful and look like so much fun to shoot.

My hand has come within inches of a Patton 1911. He has a bronzed statue at West Point where some of his personal belongings (including a 1911) are actually bronzed into the statue.

    <<< Patton's ivory handled Colt...what a piece of history. >>>>>>

Patton's famous sidearm is on display at the Patton Museum, Fort Knox, KY.. You can look but not touch. Great place to visit. Weaponry from all era's on display, including lots of lawn ornaments. Old tanks from many sources that you can get up close and personal with..

There are other more useful guns, more beautiful, better calibers, even better built, I'm sure, but as a collector of weapons, with most of mine being of the military version, if not used for hunting, I feel it has its place in my collection, and a good representation of the AR-15 series rifles that we have used in the U.S. Military for all these years.

I have two choices only one is legal in California. I'd need unlimited ammo with it also, of course :)

    Choice #1(legal):

EDM Windrunner in .408 Chey-Tac or .50 BMG

    http://www.edmarms.com/products/m96.htm

    Choice #2 (not legal):

    select-fire HK MP7/PDW

The prototype 45acp Luger that was featured on Tale's of the Gun. It is the only one left of two that were tested by our military. The show was about million dollar guns. The announcer said that he got to shoot the Luger, and you think. "what if it breaks?"

Still thinking of my rusty little collection of 22's.

The very first 22 caliber repeater by Winchester, model 1873.
    DROOL,[:p]

$3,250 by the book in 95%. I know there's more valuble guns out there, but not to me.

One which has never seen the light of day (including at least one original round): the semi-auto custom made by agents of the anti-Hitler elements of the Wehrmacht to assassinate Hitler. They created a special 8mm round - about the size of the 9mmP - with a cyanide pellet payload in the body of the projectile and two custom weapons, a bolt action and a semi-auto, to deliver them (both completely silent and flashless). This approach was abandoned for the briefcase bomb because Hitler's schedule was too erratic and his personal protection too good. In the chaos at the end of the war, the bolt action and six sterlized rounds came to the States while the semi-auto "went East" and has never been seen since. I have held one of those original rounds in my hand.

My second choice would be one of the completely silent and flashless OSS .22 weapons. "Wild Bill" Donovan brought the prototype into the Oval Office and emptied it into a sandbag while FDR was on the phone. Neither the President or the Secret Service noticed. Roughly a dozen were 'lost' in Europe during the war, and of those, some ended up in the hands of the Haganah, who used them to 'encourage' the British to abandon Palestine.

Last choice, one of the German bent barrel rifles with mirror sights developed for shooting around corners in combat in the streets of Russian cities. I think it used the 7.92x57, but may have been chambered in the 7.92x33 Kurz.

You sure I can't have three wishes?????

I'd like that custom pistol that Charles Bronson used in one of
his death wish movies. Or a rifle like Chuck Conners used in
the rifleman. Now if I could just shoot it like He did. Heh!

I'd love to own any class 3 gun, also a .50 BMG. I'd also like one of the big-bore classic double (or drillings) rifle in .xxx Nitro Express!
If anyone is in the KA/OK area and would like to, I'd pay for the ammo and some for your time to go out and shoot a class 3 gun (suppressed or full-auto) or .50 BMG with you...

Fep1990, you can buy the "Quigley Sharps" replica from Cabelas for about $1,400.

It doesn't matter what you shoot, just shoot it well...
