A friend of mind took this picture for me at a truck pull. It's too dark and I can't get it to lighten up at least not lighten up and look natural. Can someone make this picture more usable.

Can someone please tell me how to post a picture with my question. So that when you click on the topic the picture pops up with the question. So you do not have to go to another site. Thankyou Beltfed

Note: You cannot actually upload images to Gunbroker; you can only link to images that are hosted on the web.

If you want to know how to find free image hosting, post a question on Gunbroker, and you'll get lots of responses. (One option is the free space that most ISPs offer to their customers.)

Once you find the image you want on the web, you have to include the URL to the image that you would like to include in your post.

    For example:

    <img>http://www.videogamesprites.net/Nu.gif</img&gt;

(Replace the < > with [ ].) This posts the image:

    Nu.gif

If you're not comfortable with using the tags, I recommend switching from Basic mode to Prompt mode. To do this, post a new thread (or reply to an existing thread), and look under Format Mode. Where it says Basic, scroll down to Prompt. Now when you click the insert image button, you will only have to type the URL of the image, and the computer will do the rest.

Here is the process that I use:

    How to Insert a Photograph

    1. Go to www.hunt101.com and sign in with a name and password. This is a picture hosting site that acts like a library for your photos. It makes it very easy to insert photos from this site.
    2. Leave the hunt101 window open.
    3. Select photo to be saved to your hard drive. Save it to `My Pictures".
    4. Return to hunt101, sign in and select `upload' in the upper right corner under the banner.
    5. At the end of the gray space marked `photo to upload', left click on `browse'.
    6. `Browse' automatically opens `My Pictures' on your hard drive.
    7. Double left click on the picture that you want to save to hunt101.
    8. Close `My Pictures' and you will see the location URL in the `photo to upload' space.
    9. Add a title and/or description.
    10. If satisfied with the image, select the dark green button at the bottom of the window that is labeled `load/submit'. It will take a few seconds depending on how fast your system is, mine took 9 seconds.
    11. The picture will appear in the screen at size.
    12. Now, open GunBroker.com, log in, select a topic, and select `reply'.
    13. Go back to hunt101 and in the space `Image link' under your photo, select (left click) the image URL. It turns dark blue.
    14. Right click this and a menu pops up.
    15. Select copy.
    16. Go back to GunBroker.com and select `image' on the top of the `post' space. It is a button that is yellow with what appears to mountains on it. Select this (left click) and 2 sets of brackets with the term appear in the post space. Left click between the 2 terms and your cursor will flash between the 2 terms. Then right click and the gray menu appears again, select paste. This sounds more complicated that it really is. Just print our these instructions and read along as you do each step. I think that this will get it accomplished for you. I wrote these as I actually went through and posted an image just so that I wouldn't forget a step. Best.
