I arrive today for my bone scan again. It was postponed last week. I show up and tell the lady my name and appointment time.
She left for a few minuets and came back and tells me that someone in another department cancelled my appointment today. I asked to speak to her and she is on vacation.
They would not tell me her name or what doctor she works for.[V]
On the good side my cancer doctor called me today to and asked how my results went. I told him that they have put me off 2 times in 2 weeks and he told me that he is pretty sure i have nothing serious.
He told me that if my appointment does not work out Friday call him Monday and he will get me in that day.
They told me they could not fit me in because they do not have any dye for my height and weight. They had to order it ahead of time.
I am going to another place Friday and i hope that they have their mess together.[:(]

I try not to get angry when treated like a cog in the machinery...
It helps that the docs and nurses on my team are mostly good folks.
I have my moments of pure rage - but I need that energy for other things.
My best - worst moment so far was getting a call from the gastroentroloist easy on.

I was about to say that Gastroenterologist barely qualifies as human, but on second thought I'm not sure he does. That kind of callousness makes me want to cry. Maybe he has spent so much time staring up * holes he became one.
