Here is the question.... Spring field 1903 or rem 7mm mag? what do you think I should buy? How much is each gun worth?

Sendero 7mm mag. Take a lot of gunsmithing to get that 03 to shoot that well. Unless you just like having those old guns around and being pleased at their condition and historical value. I go for the technology and sell the older stuff to get newer stuff.

I am sure there will be responses about how well the 03 shoots, but it is not up to the standards of the Sendero or PSS. Just my .02

A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.

Which is of most use to you? Either? You do not offer enough information to make any sort of choice. For myself, I would go with the 7mag. Useful for deer, elk, moose, caribou etc. Old military stuff is mostly toys, fun but not much use for hunting, which is what I do, without modification. That is just me though.

The advice is much appreciated. I think I mostly just liked the idea of the 03 because of its collectability. where practically speaking I should only have my eyes set on the rem 700 which is the bdl model... by the way what is the difference between the bdl and adl models? Also didnt I just read something josie posted a while back about remington 700 series malfunctions?... The gun with the round in the chamber, safe was released and the gun went off.
